A native of Biarritz, France<\/strong>, Eva is an online French instructor at CR Languages who brings a global perspective to her teaching. While her expertise in French language and culture is exceptional, her journey has also taken her beyond the borders of France\u2014most notably to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she discovered and fell in love with tango. This passion for Argentine culture and dance adds a unique depth to her teaching, making her lessons truly one-of-a-kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eva\u2019s love affair with tango began unexpectedly. While traveling in Scotland, she stumbled upon an ad for tango lessons. Without needing a dance partner, she decided to give it a try. What started as a casual experience quickly became a deep passion. Eva felt something new in the tango embrace that other dance styles hadn\u2019t given her. It sparked a journey that would take her far beyond the borders of France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is French, had an eye-opening trip and fell in love with Argentina when she discovered a Buenos Aires university dedicated to tango.<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

With her curiosity piqued, Eva traveled to Buenos Aires, originally planning to stay for three months. However, the city’s vibrant tango scene quickly captivated her, and what was supposed to be a short visit turned into an eight-year-long stay. During this time, Eva not only immersed herself in the world of tango but also became a student at the prestigious Centro de Estudios del Tango de Buenos Aires<\/em> (CETBA). This renowned school offered her a full immersion in tango culture, with classes on dance, history, pedagogy, theater, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eva describes her time at CETBA as life-changing. \u201cTango gave meaning to my life,\u201d<\/strong> she says. From performing in milongas to participating in the World Tango Championship, Eva\u2019s dedication to tango continues to grow. In fact, in 2023, she and her partner, Omar Mendoza, reached the semifinals of the championship, dancing on the prestigious stage of the Usina del Arte<\/em> in Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now living in Buenos Aires, Eva remains deeply involved in tango while also sharing her other passion: teaching French<\/strong>. Her journey from France to Argentina gives her a unique perspective in the classroom. She understands firsthand the courage it takes to embrace a new culture and language, and she brings that same empathy and enthusiasm to her French classes at CR Languages<\/a><\/strong>.
