As\u00ed que si dices &#8220;zapato&#8221; y suena como si una abeja se te hubiera metido en la boca, algo anda mal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. La &#8220;U&#8221; en &#8220;guerra&#8221; est\u00e1 muerta. D\u00e9jala descansar en paz.<\/strong><br>En combinaciones como <strong>gue<\/strong> y <strong>gui<\/strong>, la U no suena. Est\u00e1 ah\u00ed solo para cambiar el sonido de la G (de &#8220;gue&#8221; como en &#8220;guerra&#8221;, no como &#8220;g\u00fc-errra&#8221;). Si la pronuncias, felicidades: acabas de resucitar a una letra que llevaba siglos descansando tranquilamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. La \u00d1 no es opcional.<\/strong><br>A menos que quieras decirle a tus colegas que tienes &#8220;40 anus&#8221; en vez de &#8220;40 a\u00f1os&#8221;. S\u00ed, le\u00edste bien. So if you say &#8220;zapato&#8221; and it sounds like a bee flew into your mouth, something&#8217;s off. Stop buzzing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. The &#8220;U&#8221; in &#8220;guerra&#8221; is dead. Let it rest in peace.<\/strong><br>In combinations like <strong>gue<\/strong> \u0914\u0930 <strong>gui<\/strong>, the U is silent. It&#8217;s only there to change the sound of the G. If you pronounce it, congratulations: you just resurrected a letter that had been peacefully resting for centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. The \u00d1 is not optional.<\/strong><br>Unless you want to tell your colleagues you&#8217;re &#8220;40 anus&#8221; instead of &#8220;40 a\u00f1os.&#8221; Yes, you read that right. That little squiggle on top of the N completely changes the meaning of the word, and trust us: <strong>it matters<\/strong>. Give the \u00d1 the respect it deserves.
